Getting there:
To get to the Praia d'el Rey golf course take the A8 from Lisbon heading north in the direction of Loures and Leiria. Follow this motorway for about 73 kilometres and exit at junction 14 following the signs along the IP6 for Peniche. Take the first exit off the IP6 and follow signs for Serra d'el Rei. At the traffic lights in the centre of the village turn right and follow the blue signs for Praia d'el Rey golf resort, across a roundabout and then turning right, for about 5 kms.
The Praia d'el Rey golf course was designed by the American architect Cabell B. Robinson to present the ultimate golfing challenge in stunning Silver Coast surroundings. Proof of his success came when Golf World Magazine ranked it as the thirteenth best course in Europe
Located on the edge of the Silver Coast countryside beside the sparkling Atlantic Ocean, Praia d'el Rey golf course offers deep bunkers, lush fairways, sand hazards and gently rolling greens that provide an endlessly varied game. Many golfers regard it as one of the continent’s most picturesque layouts.
Ocean views
The best views on this Silver Coast golf course come at the second hole, with its panoramic view of the ocean and the Berlengas archipelago; and at the twelfth and fourteenth where the fairways run alongside the water’s edge.
