On the Silver Coast you will never have to look far for something to do. If it is culture you are after there are historic buildings, majestic monuments and a heritage of art and culture that stretches back for centuries.
Outdoors If the outdoors is more your thing the Silver Coast has miles of sandy beaches and incredible surf; rolling green countryside and picturesque villages; the rugged slopes of Montejunto; and peaceful valleys lined with vineyards, forests and orchards.
For entertainment the Silver Coast has a vibrant and dynamic arts scene: theatre, dance, music, exhibitions and regular events in which art takes to the streets.
Night life
When the sun goes down on the Silver Coast the restaurants, cafés and bars really come to life. Don't expect to find anyone out before ten in the evening, and don't expect to get home before midnight if you want to experience the Silver Coast as the locals do.
It is not just the bars that open late. Throughout the year there are festivals and feasts in towns and villages all around the Silver Coast region, and these invariably start late and go on well into the early morning.
Shopping on the Silver Coast is best experienced in the local markets - and there are many of them. Most towns have a general market once a week, a lively and colourful affair that is well worth experiencing.
There are also daily food markets offering the freshest produce: fish hauled from the ocean and landed at nearby Peniche and fruit and vegetables that still carry the dew from the fields in which they were picked that morning.
